M. Vick goes to jail . . . Marcus Vick, that is

Only a few weeks after Mike Vick finished a federal prison term, his brother Marcus is going up the river.  (Or it is down the river?)

The big difference is that Marcus Vick, who for a short time in 2006 played for the Dolphins, has been sentenced to only 20 days.

Marcus Vick was found to be in violation of his probation arising from a 2008 DUI conviction, per WAVY-TV.  The court found that he failed to complete an alcohol education program, he tested positive for
marijuana, he missed appointments, and he didn’t pay court
costs and fines.

Poopdollar – You really don’t see the relevance? Really? In addition to the fact that he is, uh, Michael Vick’s brother and played in the NFL, this also means he has moved up the list of available free agents for the Bengals. Hopefully he will be out of the slammer in time for the Hard Knocks finale.

I guess the “stupid” and “irresponsible” genes must be pretty strong in that family. So, who will coordinate his superficial contrition campaign?

In a study of the 272,111 persons released from prisons in 15 States, an estimated 67.5% were rearrested for a felony or serious misdemeanor within 3 years, 46.9% were reconvicted, and 25.4% resentenced to prison for a new crime.
Mikey is going to be a statistic soon too.
    Encouraging a smackdown on Vick.

  29. The Dox says: Aug 21, 2009 5:18 AM

@ Nick – Hamster fighting is no joke. It’s a serious establishment and against the law.
They are innocent animals, and anyone who participates in such a brutal and heinous sport should die.
    (sarcasm)
Interpose “dog” for “hamster” and that’s what the majority of this country thinks. I’m sure Marcus’ DUI somehow makes him one of the most terrible people on the planet and warrants the death penalty.
    Sheep.

Study was based on violent felons who have a higher recidivism rate than other incarcerated individuals.
This could technically include Plax and Stallworth. Plax was the one injured though and likely will see trouble, even if just traffic tickets. Stallworth has the conscience to stay clean, just have to see.

Will two people wearing the same striped suit ruin a family photo? I sure hope Mikey left some coin in the prison account for his brothers cigs.

    Jerry: …He’s a recovering alcoholic.
    George: Really?
Jerry: Yeah. He’s been off the wagon for two years.
    George: “Off the wagon”?
Jerry: I think it’s off the wagon.
George: I think it’s “on the wagon”.
So, I guess Ma. Vick is “on the wagon” and “down the river.”
