The Denver Broncos play a preseason game on Saturday night in Seattle. And so the Broncos have made the trek to the Pacific Northwest.
And, according to the Denver Post, they’ve left receiver Brandon Marshall at home.
Apart from lingering injury issues and a desire to be traded and a pissing match over whether the P.R. staff coached players not to say the words “woo” and “hoo” in rapid succession after Marshall was acquitted a week ago on misdemeanor battery charges, Marshall has admitted that he doesn’t know the playbook -- and he has been relegated to the scout team.
Also staying in Denver were safety Brian Dawkins, who has a broken hand, and receiver Brandon Lloyd, who has an unspecified hand injury.
As to Marshall, the decision could be interpreted as evidence that the Broncos finally have realized that the easiest path out of this mess of a maze is to trade Marshall.
