On Tuesday, Avery made a surprise return to team drills at practice that would appear to put those worries to rest.
"Like I tell my teammates, you know, I run fast but I heal faster," Avery said.
Reports indicate that Avery looked quick as ever while scoring a pair of touchdowns on the Rams' scout team.
"Yeah, my hands still work," Avery said. "My feet still work."
The Rams probably won't risk playing Avery in the preseason, but the team's top receiver says there are "zero doubts" that he'll be ready for Week One.
