Jets-Ravens one-liners

Said Jets QB Mark Sanchez of his 3-for-8, one touchdown, one interception performance, “It was a great experience, not the best start on Monday night, but I learned quite a bit.”

The Jets left K Jay Feely in New York to nurse a sore groin, turning the kicking duties over to Parker Douglass.

Jets RB Leon Washington compiled 176 total yards on offense and kick returns.

G Alan Faneca, who has missed time with a broken finger, was a surprise starter for the Jets.

Jets WR David Clowney had a 28-yard touchdown catch, his second of the preseason.

LB Ray Lewis said he could see Sanchez was nervous about the prospect of facing the Ravens defense.

Ravens DE Paul Kruger felt like the Jets were targeting him, perhaps as a result of coach Rex Ryan’s comments about him wearing Michael McCrary’s number 99.

Ravens LB Jameel McClain redeemed himself after getting beaten for a touchdown by returning a Kellen Clemens interception for a touchdown.

The battle for the Ravens kicking job may have swung in Steve Hauschka’s favor after Graham Gano missed a 46-yard attempt.

Ravens CB Frank Walker was the target on 10 Jets passes Monday night, and he wasn’t up to the task on what he called “a rough one for me.”

Frank Walker sucks. I’m tempted to order a Ravens #41 jersey with the name “Toast” on it.
