Bills coach Dick Jauron said Wednesday that the news regarding the injury suffered Tuesday by running back Fred Jackson is, indeed, good.
“It was a wrist,” Jauron said in comments circulated by the team. “It was pretty sore but we’re really happy with the outcome. It’s a sprained wrist. It was just too sore to practice today. I don’t know about tomorrow so we’ll see. But it was good news actually.”
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier today that X-rays on the wrist were negative, and that Jackson will be available for Week One, when Jackson will step in as the starter for Marshawn Lynch, who has been suspended three games for violating the Personal Conduct Policy.
There’s also a chance Jackson will play on Saturday at Pittsburgh. Jauron said Wednesday that no decision has been made regarding whether Jackson will suit up.
He’s a stud. Could be starting on a lot of teams. Actually saw a quote from him a while ago that he checks PFT every day.
Very nice to here. Jackson isn’t the bruiser back like Lynch but like Grossman says, he could start on probably a 1/4 of the teams in the NFL right now.

“It was a wrist,” Jauron said adding “Of course the bad news is he’s still just Fred Jackson.”
In the meantime, TO is still out searching for ratings for his “show”!
