Wednesday morning one-liners

Bills coach Dick Jauron said T Demetrius Bell is doing better after being carted off the field Monday with a back injury.

The Dolphins waived/injured KR Chris Williams because of a broken left hand.

The Patriots signed reserve OL Mark LeVoir to a contract extension running through 2011.

Said Jets coach Rex Ryan of RB Leon Washington, “He’s a little stud and I knew he was tough. But that [Ravens] defense, that
doesn’t happen to [it].  I don’t care preseason, regular season.  He’s
special.”

Peter Schmuck of the Baltimore Sun writes that Super Bowl talk concerning the Ravens is premature.

RB Brian Leonard said that the Bengals have shown a better idea about how to use him than the Rams did before he was traded.

When discussing the Browns’ depth at safety, coach Eric Mangini mentioned WR Mike Furrey’s experience at the position.

    dont you mean Mario Haggan? Or is there another LB with that last name..

    The Broncos LB is Mario Haggan, not Clark.

    The Denver Broncos linebacker is named Mario, not Clark…
    Although i can see how you would get the two names confused, they look so similar.

    Broncos coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Brian Xanders will sit down with quarterback Ingle Martin this morning. If Martin passes the interview, he could be practicing with the Broncos this afternoon.
    Isn’t there a better quarterback out there than a pretty-much unknown? Like seriously….I mean, I’ve heard of him…but he’s never been a starter… 4-12 for the Broncos this year. I wish i didn’t have to say that, but it’s my opinion. the Broncos are screwed this year.

    “Swayze Waters”? Dang. That poor kid’s mom must have watched alot of Dirty Dancing and Ghost back in the ’80s.
