I find it amazing that no one has commented on the fact that this woman never filed a criminal complaint against Ben for this alleged attack. The only time someone files a civil complaint instead of a criminal complaint against someone for something of this nature is when a big pay day might be in there future. It is clear that she obviously doesn’t want him in jail or she wouldn’t get her big pay day. It sounds like her attorney needs to be reported to the bar association. He is obviously out to get his name in the papers especially with his outrageous requests for discovery. I say shame on this woman for making it that much harder to have real rapes prosecuted in criminal court. She is all about the pay day

It seems Ben didn’t rape her.

You were correct. He is a class act all the way. Fathers across the country must be lining up their daughters for a date with him as I write this. The egg is on my face.
Unfortunately it is time to retire the ever entertaining “Big Ben Rapistberger” for the new and only half as amusing “Big Ben Fuglybanger”, and even though this whole incident is slowly coming to an end, us non-Steeler fans will always be able to look back and enjoy the memories of the countless bunched panties that occurred as a result.

Any normal lawyer would have looked at all the facts saw she had no case and would have told her to go pound sand. i saw some lady put “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned’ in relation to this big ben fiasco. she was trying to justify andrea mcpony’s reasons for extorting big ben. she said mcpony was hoping for a serious relationship and ben “didnt call her” and she thought it could lead to something and blah blah blah.
my response is, are u serious?
where is bens obligation to call her? he wanted a one night stand with an easy chick, and he got it. it coulda been any woman but she happened to be quite eager for some ben lovin. bens worth millions upon millions of dollars, is famous, young, and can get plenty of women should he so choose. if mcpony actually thought that a one night stand at a casino with a young millionaire could lead to a relationship, then thats her own damn fault, and she deserves all the mud that comes slingin her way.

I hope the truth comes out. Rape is a tough allegation. Not sure Ben is guilty or not, but the new information doesn’t really change his innocence or guilt, it just clouds perception.
A woman has the right to enter a man’s room with intentions of being together, and change her mind. The fact that an accuser is attracted to her attacker is not material. The root of rape is consent. It’s probably why only 2% of females report being raped by a stranger. Again, no sides, just hope the truth comes out.
The only thing annoying is the media’s coverage. I mean, it doesn’t feel like the Kobe case, or countless cases of rape by college or professional athletes. The coverage is different. Ben is less abrasive than Kobe, so maybe that’s it, but if feels distinctly different. Maybe because it’s civil rather than criminal. And before people throw stones and say she should have gone criminal charges if she was really raped, perhaps she chose civil because she was advised by her legal council that the burdens of proof are different, and possibly lower for a civil case.
Then again, maybe she is a gold digger. Who knows.
