On Wednesday, 49ers coach Mike Singletary played down the severity of quarterback Shaun Hill’s back injury. It appears he was speaking the truth, because Hill was back at practice on Thursday.
Hill said that he left practice Wednesday in an effort to allow the strain to “settle down” and took it easy upon his return. He only took part in individual drills, with Damon Huard taking his place during team activities. Still, Hill said that “as far as I know” he would play against the Cowboys this weekend.
That would be good for the 49ers, who officially named Hill their starter earlier this week. After splitting time with Alex Smith for much of the preseason, Hill could use as much time as possible to develop chemistry with his teammates on the Niner offense.
“This is a very important game for everybody on the team,” Hill said.
“For the guys who are going to be starting it’s important to establish
a tempo and do some good things. Every opportunity to play is
important. My goal is no matter how many series, to come away with
touchdowns.”
San Francisco plans to play their starters for at least the first half during their visit to JerryWorld, with some of them remaining in the game into the third quarter.

Does this mean he kept his pants on for once?
Having Hill running the offense this season sounds good to me
Citizen Strange – What a singular wit you have. You must be a riot at Open Mic night. I had no idea Sing dropped his pants, at all. I’ve not heard it once this year. Amazing how you were the first to use it as a joke.
I would have to agree with Ceeloo7 and DcNinerFan. Looking at the past 8 years as a niner fan, Hill sounds great after what we as fans have had to put up with. Also what do you mean Sing dropped his pants (HaHaHa) Wow Citizen Strange where are you getting this information that no one else has any knowledge of.
Citizen Strange- Actually Sing did drop his pants, but your girl was bent over in front of him with her pants dropped also. Sorry for the crude response, I’m a Raider fan you can’t expect me to be classy.
