Brandon Marshall admits his idiocy

Last night, we officially declared after viewing that video of Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall behaving like a buffoon that Marshall is an idiot.

Many of you who watched the video feel the same way.

And Marshall apparently agrees with the collective assessment.

“I think everybody knows there’s a lot of stuff built up there, and me handling it that way wasn’t good,” Marshall told ESPN Thursday night.

“I’m not out there trying to be a distraction to the team,” Marshall
said.  “Unfortunately, yesterday I kind of let my frustration get the
best of me.”

Marshall also hinted that the frustrations resulted from a “meeting” that occurred prior to practice.  He didn’t elaborate on the subjects discussed at the meeting.

Though he claims that he’s not trying to force a trade, we can’t help but wonder whether his behavior has the two-fold purpose of making the Broncos willing to move him and of reducing his potential trade value in the hopes of making it to Chicago for a reunion with quarterback Jay Cutler.  Since the Bears’ ability to make a big splash for Marshall has been severely restricted by their big splash for Cutler, the only way for Brandon to become a Bear will be for the price tag to drop dramatically.

Besides, we’re not going to accept Marshall’s explanation at this point.  He previously has made it clear with his words that he wants out.  His actions from Wednesday spoke ever more loudly.

Even with his hoof hearted apology, we still think that Broncos fans have begun the process of turning their backs on Brandon, based on the video images that have been burned into their brains.

Brandon Marshall has QUIT on his team.
    Just that simple.
He wants out and he’s quit trying.
Can’t imagine a good team wanting to sign this IDIOT.
    Hello Cincinnatti

Sign me up to collect his salary! This does nothing for the case against spoiled cry baby athletes!

The only thing that would make him that upset is a meeting that included these possibilities:
    A. “We are not trading you unless we get a 1 & 4.”
    or
    B. “We tried to find somebody that was willing to take your turd ass and nobody wanted you.”
    or
    C. “We have a cart-load of McDonalds bags waiting for you on the practice field.”
    or
    D. “If you don’t learn the playbook we are going to suspend you.”

    Football players today are soft.
Had Marshall pulled this crap on a team with say, Jack Lambert, he would have been stuffed into his locker after having been beaten to a pulp.

Well, admitting you have a problem is the first step towards correcting the problem.
But who realistically expects that from this diva?

Yeah, but investigation would determine players involved and they’d be suspended for a year and their careers would be marred by…
Too bad we can’t go back to that time epriod.
the NFL has gone from underground cult following to the most egomaniacal diva imaginable.
josh daniels has won the award for quickest demise of a team in the history of a game. it’s not even week 1!

Sure Marshall is acting like an idiot, but the Broncos are paying him less money than 40+ other receivers in the NFL..That’s just rediculous..he is a top 5-10 guy and should get paid that way….

Josh McDaniels or no Josh McDaniels, that team needed a complete flushing of ego. The phrase, “just shut up and play” is the only advice Marshall should be taking from anybody. Denver didn’t make the playoffs with Cutler and Marshall (despite playing in a crap division) and can miss the playoffs without them.

OK Florio, let me get this straight. You make a very compelling argument on how a guy is “an idiot”, which I believe is a very fair assessment.
Then you come up with the theory that said “idiot” is devising an elaborate scheme to lower his trade value to reunite with his old QB.
    Really Florio? Really?

    No doubt B.M is a B.M.
That’s obvious, so I won’t waste my time “piling” on.
The thing that’s more compelling to me is the OTHER perspective:
What kind of bullshit JV petty tyrant jerk-ass crap must McDumbass and company be doing to this guy to CAUSE him to act this way?
This is now the second time the end result of a meeting with McDaffy has ended with a problem exacerbated instead of resolved.
Remember when he met with Jay and (toilet) Bowlen, purportedly to make the peace, but instead he said, in effect, “Well, okay, you’re our QB–but I’d STILL take Cassel if I had the chance….”
THAT was the real impetus for Jay’s revolt. He went into that meeting expecting a truce to be called, instead he got obstinance, arrogance, and insult.
Now B.M. is no Shakespearean scholar or anything. But who (Plax excluded) would so blatantly shoot himself in the foot?
    Think about it!!
What player in their right mind (I know–”in their right mind” leaves room for debate) would SERIOUSLY act like this, publicly, knowing the whole world is watching, knowing they are seeking a trade, that other teams are watching and judging??
UNLESS, of course, (*dun dun DUN!*) he’s been PUSHED to act like this!
(Or, as FloMo speculates, he’s intentionally dropping his own value…)
I mean, these are DESPERATE, irresponsible, reckless actions for a man who is supposed to be a professional at the height of his talents…even with his off-field sh1t, it’s hard to think he would just “punt” it all away like that without having some very, very VERY powerful reasons behind it.
(I know–you cynics say it’s just greed. But I think EGO is a more powerful motivator).
So, as of now–we have Cutler on record saying what a ridiculous, arrogant, ignorant, lying back-stabbing, incompetent phony two-faced douche Micky D is.
And now we have Marshall doing the NFL player’s version of Buddhist monks’ immolation act circa 1968, burning themselves in protest…(for those of you not up on 60′s history–go look at the pictures your parents old Rage Against The Machine albums…)
Yet people still have a hard time believing that McDick is doing anything WRONG!?!?!?
    Are you sirius (satelite radio)?
    Are you serial?
    So now it’s TWO people’s words/actions against one dumbf*cks.
    Or, in Florio’s faggy legalese:
    Cutler’s been corroborated.
I say it’s only a matter of time before the mutiny reaches HMS levels.
Look out Captain Mac!–there’ll be a cutlass at your back & a plank at your feet in the very near future, you scurvy dog.
    Trust me…
Bowlen is akin to the coked up Casey Jones, driving that train toward inevitable wreckage.
(Gonna be a lot of those this year, whatwith the Queens doing their annual drama/scandal/dysfunctional suck-fest, too).
When J-Mac is finally fully revealed to be the incompetent little boy making a mess of a man’s job, then I’ll expect each and every one of you who bashed Cutler (secretly envious of the haircut, I suppose…) to get your scrawny little gonads tattooed with the words:
“Cutler was right, and we were wrong. WE are the pussies.”
Sound good? Okay, see you then.
P.S. That practice video of B.M. being a B.M. was hysterical. MUCH better than the narcissist Me-O doing sh1t-ups in his driveway.

Now, if we could just get Dewey Axewound(Dirty Sanchez) to admit he is an idiot, we’d be all set!
Jesus, he wrote a novel to defend his QB, perrenial Pro bowler Jane Cutler.
He’s bascically attacking Mcdaniels be cause he hurt his new QB’s feelings.
The fact of the matter is, “BM” saw what acting like a 7 year old girl got Jane, so he’s trying to do the same thing. Nothing more, nothing less.
You almost made it there Dewey Sanchez, but you just had to talk about everyone’s ball sack didn’t you?
I have a serious question for you Dirty Axewound.
Did you have corn for supper last night?
And if so, is your ” life partner” saluting the “kernel” right about now?

Come on this guy is a flake. He knows he’s a jerk, but; that doesn’t stop him from beating and stabbing women, fighting in bars and all the rest of his bad behavior. So that tells me he really, really doesn’t believe he’s a jerk he believes he’s entitled and all the NFL profiteers just keep on reinforcing his beliefs.
If the NFL would just crab a handful of these jerks and throw them all out on the street where they belong, they might regain some respect.
The NFL where thugs, rapist, animal killers, wife beaters, robbers, gun toter’s, I’m sure a child molester or 2, ah heck just good ole boys of questionable character go to get rich.
More kool aid, hey its free!!!
