Lions claim Glenn Holt

On Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings waived receiver/kick returner Glenn Holt.

On Friday, the Lions claimed him on waivers.

The news comes from the Twitter page of agent Drew Rosenhaus.

It’s unknown at this point whether any other team put in a claim for Holt. In theory, every other team might have, since the Lions own priority given their 0-16 finish last year.

Holt spent three years with Cincinnati before signing with the Vikings.

Holt joins a fairly crowded depth chart at receiver/returner, which might get a little uncrowded via the roster move the Lions will have to make in order to create a spot for Holt, assuming that the Lions previously were at 80 men.
