Shoulder scare for Tom Brady

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who is coming back from an ACL injury that wiped out his 2008 season, got a scare during another area of his anatomy during the second quarter of Friday night’s preseason game in Maryland.

After throwing a pass, Brady was flattened by Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.  Brady landed a bit awkwardly on his right shoulder, and cameras showed him stretching it out after leaving the field.

As of this posting, Brady has been sitting on the bench and receiving no attention from the trainers.  He later was standing and throwing, with no apparent pain.  So it looks like he’s OK.

But Pats fans surely were puckering for a minute or two after Haynesworth dropped his torso onto Brady.

ever since the 5 sacks in the superbowl the pat qbs have been under major pressure. 40 plus sacks last season , 5 in the sb, I dont think the pats will be nearly as potent on offense as people think with this aging line that is a shell of what it used to be.

The Patriots must be the most efficient sports franchise ever.
They don’t even need to change their injury report… “Brady – Probable (shoulder)”

Sure did scare the shit out of me considering I just drafted him for my fantasy team last night. But he’s bullshittin on the sidelines and he still has his shoulder pads on. I would assume if he was really hurt he’s be in street cloths with a sack of ice on it.

Haynesworth wouldn’t break him unless it was a contract year.

Scared? No….in fact I got a little chuckle out of it. Unfortunately the NFL is probably looking at making a rule change because of it….
