Shoulder scare for Tom Brady

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who is coming back from an ACL injury that wiped out his 2008 season, got a scare during another area of his anatomy during the second quarter of Friday night’s preseason game in Maryland.

After throwing a pass, Brady was flattened by Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth. Brady landed a bit awkwardly on his right shoulder, and cameras showed him stretching it out after leaving the field.

As of this posting, Brady has been sitting on the bench and receiving no attention from the trainers. He later was standing and throwing, with no apparent pain. So it looks like he’s OK.

But Pats fans surely were puckering for a minute or two after Haynesworth dropped his torso onto Brady.
