The Texans made a couple of roster moves on the defensive side of the ball on Friday, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com.
They placed linebacker Cato June, signed this offseason after being cut by Tampa Bay, on injured reserve. June broke his forearm during the team’s practices with the New Orleans Saints last week. [Editor's note: If it happened while he was banging the arm over the head of Jeremy Shockey, it was worth it.] June was expected to battle Xavier Adibi for snaps at weakside linebacker, but now it appears that Adibi will have the job all to himself.
The Texans will fill his roster spot with former Chargers corner Cletis Gordon, who was released on Monday. With Dunta Robinson holding out of training camp and Jacques Reeves sidelined by a fractured fibula, the Texans have been thinner than they’d like at corner this summer.
Gordon played 30 games with the Chargers over the last three seasons and recorded 29 tackles.
Not now, Cato!
really…….is there any better name than Cletis?
