Broncos' introduce "extremities" to injury talk

With two offensive starters lost in the first half of Sunday night’s game between the Broncos and the Bears, the home team has described both players as suffering injuries to “extremities.”

The Broncos said that guard Chris Kuper has an injury to a “lower extremity,” reports NBC’s Andrea Kremer, who points out that Kuper walked off the field with no weight on his injured foot.

Meanwhile, receiver Eddie Royal has an injury, per the team, to an “upper extremity.”  Royal seemed to suffer a shoulder injury while being tackled after catching a pass.

Royal seems to be more likely to return that Kuper.  But since the game doesn’t count, maybe the smart move is to keep him out, too.

UPDATE:  Royal is back.

SECOND UPDATE:  Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton later suffered a cut finger.  The Broncos are calling it an “upper extremity” injury.

  1. “But since the game doesn’t count, maybe the smart move is to keep him out, too.”
But of course this is Mcdaniels were talking about so……… Royal is already back in the game

  2. Chris Kuper is going to be done for the year. A huge loss. I can’t believe just how awful this offseason has been.

  3. “My finger hurts.”
“Now your back’s gonna hurt, cuz you just pulled landscaping duty.”

  4. Orton has to have an open dislocation of the distal interphalangeal joint of the right index finger. The bone broke the skin. He may have afracture with it.

  5. How is McDaniels going to describe his pussy hurting?
Suck it, you Cutler whiners…enjoy Orton.

  6. WTF!!!! Its not even the regular season and already its” wait till next season” mentality in Denver…WTF!!!!

  7. Did you guys see the press conference after the game with Mcdaniels? He looked so nervous. He couldn’t stop itching his face and neck, and at one point he seemed to have an itchy hat. Then, at the end he left faster than the speed of light…It seems the pressure of letting go of one of the leagues best young stars is getting to the “genius'” head. This clown and his grey hoodie wearing, Belichek ass milking, tight lipped a-hole will be gone within the year.

  8. “…Kuper walked off the field with no weight on his injured foot.”
I just had this discussion with my 5 year old the other day. Where I come from, that’s called hopping, not walking.
