With two offensive starters lost in the first half of Sunday night’s game between the Broncos and the Bears, the home team has described both players as suffering injuries to “extremities.”
The Broncos said that guard Chris Kuper has an injury to a “lower extremity,” reports NBC’s Andrea Kremer, who points out that Kuper walked off the field with no weight on his injured foot.
Meanwhile, receiver Eddie Royal has an injury, per the team, to an “upper extremity.” Royal seemed to suffer a shoulder injury while being tackled after catching a pass.
Royal seems to be more likely to return that Kuper. But since the game doesn’t count, maybe the smart move is to keep him out, too.
UPDATE: Royal is back.
SECOND UPDATE: Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton later suffered a cut finger. The Broncos are calling it an “upper extremity” injury.
