Titans-Browns one-liners

Titans QB Kerry Collins had his best game of the preseason, leading two long drives and finishing with 102 yards passing in the first half.

QB Vince Young continued to confound the Titans by leading a sharp two-minute drill, fumbling on the goal line, throwing an interception for a touchdown, and then leading a scoring drive.

Titans C Kevin Mawae played twice as many snaps as expected in his return from elbow surgery.

Said Titans coach Jeff Fisher, "In a sense defensively, we gave up a couple plays, but I thought overall with the starters we handled the run, which we wanted to, and once we subbed things kind of fell apart from a game standpoint."

The Titans pulled off a successful fake punt for the second time in the preseason.

If Saturday's results were an omen, whoever winds up starting for the Browns at quarterback will have a good target in WR Braylon Edwards.

The Browns had a good night on special teams with a blocked field goal and a fumble recovery on a kickoff return.

Browns DE Robaire Smith blocked that kick and his pass rush helped force the Young pass that LB Alex Hall intercepted for a touchdown.

C Alex Mack started the game and didn't alternate series with Hank Fraley, which might mean he's won the Browns' starting center job.

Browns QB Derek Anderson was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after he collided with an official on the sideline outside the prescribed bench zone.

Oh, my. One from The Tennessean commentariat...

One more turnover or bad decision from that boneheaded Young last night, and they would have sent out for McNair to finish up...He wouldnt have done any worse...
    Sheesh.

    Teh natives are definitely restless.

Where is a one-liner about Brady Quinn? Was his great performance just not good enough for you? You must be a DA supporter Alper or you are just a dumbass anyway for forgetting to add that little note. 11-15 128 yards and a TD. Remember those stats?

    jordan-

Go back to reading your Men's Health magazine. Everyone knows Quinn did well, but this is preseason one-liners. Get over it.
