Bulger back at practice

Rams quarterback Marc Bulger, down to his last chance in St. Louis, has returned to practice after breaking a finger earlier in the month.

Per the Associated Press, Bulger threw 21 passes in a side session on Sunday, under the supervision of quarterbacks coach Dick Curl, who might or might not have been in the bidding for Onterrio Smith's Whizzinator.

Coach Steve Spagnuolo said that it's not yet known whether Bulger will play in Thursday's preseason finale.

"It all depends on where he is," Spagnuolo said.  "You'd like to build for Thursday, but if he's not ready to we're not going to."

The fracture occurred while Bulger was receiving a snap from center Jason Brown.  It didn't show up on x-rays, and a cast wasn't required.

Kyle Boller has been running the first-team offense in Bulger's absence.

Seriously.

Maybe the Rams are trying to have the second overall draft pick for three years in a row.

Kyle Boller? Really? He tip toed his way all the way down to St. Louis? Kid could throw the ball threw the uprights, from his knees, on the 50 yard line....but thats about it.

"Maybe the Rams are trying to have the second overall draft pick for three years in a row."

Of course playing Bulger, he of the 57% completion total, QB rating of 71.1 and a 11/13 TD/INT ratio is light years better (And he was so much more effective in 2007- Not). Boller's career numbers- comp % 56.9, rating 71.9 TD/INT 45/44- are oddly similar to Bulger of last year and 07. Yep, Boller would kill this team if he started....

It probably suprises Florio that anyone actualy looks at things objectively or does some research.

Yeah, that's right. Kick 'em while their down. I hope my RAMS are one of the surprise teams this year so that you "experts" end up eating serious crow! Not talkin Super Bowl here (I'm a realist). 8-8 will be just fine, for now.

Dick Curl? Thats a shame. Awful really.

This mess is going to take a few years to clean up after the horrible drafting done by Linehan and Martz. I don't have a problem with Bulger, but Sam Bradford will look good in a Rams uniform next year.
