As they reduced from 80 player to 75, the New Orleans Saints ended the comeback of veteran defensive tackle Rod Coleman.
Coleman, who was out of football last season, signed with the Saints in March. He had been cut by the Falcons in February 2008.
The Saints also cut wideout D’Juan Woods and cornerback Greg Fassitt, and they now stand at 75.
The jet ski & furry woodland creature did him in. He still has a chance to catch on elsewhere. Maybe the UFL?
I was hoping that Coleman had something left, but at least this means that we’re sticking with Kendrick Clancy as a fulltime DT. Clancy’s one of the most underrated players in the league.
So, has anyone ever figured out exactly what was going on when he had that wreck when he was with the Falcons? The one where he got suspended. I always assumed he was getting a Lewinsky.
