Sinorice Moss is getting upset

Receiver Sinorice Moss, a second-round draft pick in 2006 who has failed to deliver on his potential in three NFL seasons, is too miffed to see the handwriting on the wall.

Moss is mad because he got few opportunities during the team’s third preseason game, on Saturday night against the Jets.

You have to ask the coach,” Moss said after the game regarding his lack of use, per the New York Post.  “I have no
explanation.  I really don’t know what to say about what happened.  When
I did step on the field, I went out and did my best.”

The most likely explanation is that the Giants have decided that Moss doesn’t fit into their plans, and that they don’t want to risk Moss suffering a season-ending injury for which they’d owe his 2009 salary of $535,000.

“I’m not worried about it at all,” Moss said of the possibility that “former” will soon be applied to his title.  “There’s no need to
stress myself out worrying about what’s going on.  Hey, [they] brought
these guys in for a reason, they used ‘em tonight to see what they
could do and they did real well.  I know what I can do for this team.
I’ve been saying that since I’ve been here.”

The only problem?  Regardless of what Santana’s younger brother has been saying, there hasn’t been much doing.  In three seasons, he has appeared in only 29 of a possible 48 regular-season games, with a mere two starts.  He has 38 career catches for 403 yards and two touchdowns.

For the 2009 preseason, Moss has two catches for 10 total yards.

If this is the end of the line for Moss in New York, he’ll likely have good company.  By all appearances, Super Bowl XLII hero David Tyree will be making helmet catches somewhere else in 2009 — possibly in the UFL.

He’s too emotional, his feelings are hurt, and he is extremely popular with the other players.
I’ve got a “feeling” that this will not play out well and cause a season long schism among the players. Bringing in the new wide receivers could possibly have caused him to feel underappreciated.
You’ve almost got to ask, “should they have done this to themselves?” Reap what you sow, 4-12 here the G-men come…….
(the above does not necessarily reflect my personal opinion. I just wanted to put the same effort to infuse drama into this story as has been done to several other posts).

Sinorice was never any good. If his last name would not have been Moss he would have been an undrafted free agent. He should thank Santana every day for his time at the U and in the NFL because if Sinorice’s last name was Green as in Jaquez Green’s little brother he would not have made a dime in the League.

The guy I feel sorry for is Tyree. He scarcely played in pre-season. Still, as a 6th rounder from Syracuse, he will remain one of G’s great picks.
I hope someone will pick him up. Moss? He never was a factor and will not be missed. But Giants look disorganized, undisciplined, and uninspired so far. It is more than dropped passes and missed tackles. The intangibles are not there with this squad. I predict a lot of angry pacing from Coughlin this season.

Sadly, Sinorice, all you can do for this team is sit on your ass with sore hamstrings all season long. Not a big need for that. If there was, I would be a NFL player. I can ride an exercise bike with the best of them. I can’t catch worth a damn, certainly can’t break any tackles, but then, neither can you.

Moss needs to get over himself, he’s had plenty of time, even injured to learn the playbook and routes, hes been horrid for the G-men.
Why would Tyree play in the UFL? in every article you have written, you have solely mentioned the catch, he is a pro bowl special teams player, a lot of teams can use his service. You make it as if that’s all he does, he’ll have a lot of teams he’ll be able to catch on to. I dont even think the giants should cut him, in the few games he’s started, he built a decent rapport with manning.

I’m quite certain Sinorice could benefit a team that has an accurate QB. Everyone knows Eli is terribly inaccurate which is why they have been getting all these tall WRs as of late. People point to eli being good when he had burress. All eli did when he was in trouble was throw it in the vicinity of Burress and burress would make the catch. The fact burress at 6’5 had to jump really high at times just to make routine catches says alot.
No way moss has a shot on this team at his height, a west coast team or a team with a qb thats accurate and he can play.

Sinorice has always been criticized way to harshly by giants fans who don’t watch him play. He has never gotten an oppotunity to shine. When he got a chance to play against the seahawks last yr, he had two TDs and played great. He isn’t a guy that has the dropsies- He has just been incosistent in practice at times and has had injuries. For people to say he sucks is just ignorant. He gives this team a dynamic weapon. We just have to find a way to utilize him. It’s inexplicable why we cant get him on the field.

    A. SCOTT, everyone had a TD for the giants in that game.
dan snyder, give me a break, youre a skins fan, period. Youll use any chance you can get to bash eli, and of course you think moss is nice, his brother plays for the skins. If hes so good, you guys pick him up.
I was in DC last Nov, when plax wasnt in the lineup, i remember quite fondly Eli throwing all of you guys in a lopsided win. In fact, aside from that game 2 yrs ago in 07 in that miserable weather at Giants stadium, i dont remember the skins beating the Giants at all.

Wow number 5 or 6 on a depth chart aned getting upset give me a break
You have done n0thing to impress so why would you expect to have a spot Smith works hard Hixon works hard Manningham and the two new WR are hard at work earning earning a spot.
As far as David T goes he has a place in every Giant fans heart but business is business and I hope you land on your feet somewhere
thanks for the best catch ever made Tyree
When a player holds out for more money its business when a player gets cut its personal?

Really? Do “accurate” QBs make chronic hamstring issues go away? I didn’t realize they had magical healing powers. Hell, we don’t need health care – we all just need to find an accurate QB and all our problems will be solved. Thanks for solving a football and a national problem all at once, Danny!

Clearly, you’ve never taken a look at the injury report. Hint: H-A-M-S-T-R-I-N-G.
