Carson Palmer could play Thursday

Knocked out of two preseason contests with an ankle sprain, Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer could play in the September 3 preseason finale against the Colts.

According to the Associated Press, Palmer threw passes for 30 minutes in practice Monday. Per the report, Palmer moved around without problem on his injured ankle.

Of course, we knew that Palmer was fine as of Sunday night. Because new unofficial PFT correspondent receiver Chad Ochocinco told us, Twitter style.

Coach Marvin Lewis said an appearance from Palmer against the Colts is possible, even though starters rarely participate in meaningful fashion in the final preseason game.

Bottom line? If Palmer can stay healthy this year, the Bengals could be a dangerous team.
