Bills drop middle linebacker Thomas

Linebacker Pat Thomas started nine games in the middle for the 2008 Chiefs, but he couldn’t even make it to the final cuts for the Buffalo Bills this year. (That says a lot about the ’08 Chiefs.)

The Bills released Thomas Wednesday, largely because he wasn’t able to practice for most of camp.

Marcus Buggs is expected to back up middle linebacker Paul Posluzny, who is quietly emerging as one of the better young linebackers in football.
