For the first real column of the third real year of our real arrangement with the real SportingNews.com, we’ve decided to take a real run at the not-so-real football games to which we are all subjected every August.
It’s the “preseason.” In other words, “not the season.” (Unfortunately, the phrase “not the season” made me recall this dreadful television experiment from the late 1980s.)
