Brandon Marshall rumors migrate to the other New York team

With the Jets quickly in and then out of the Brandon Marshall trade discussion, the team with which they share a stadium now finds itself in the center of the scuttlebutt.

104.3 The Fan in Denver, one of the Denver-area sports radio stations, has posted on its web site an image of a plane bearing the Giants logo on its tail, at a Denver-area airport.

The easy -- through probably grossly incorrect -- speculation is that the receiver-needy Giants are working out a deal for Marshall and whisking him to New York.

Though we won't rule out anything in the stranger-then-Playmakers NFL, we can't imagine the Giants welcoming into the shop another major knucklehead only months after purging a guy whose story the writers of the shuttered ESPN football melodrama would have rejected as way too unrealistic.

Still, you love rumors.  So rumors we give you.

And now we wait for the follow-up report that the Giants aren't pursuing Marshall.

Forget it... not a NYG kind of player.

Rumors are like rear ends, everybody has one and it seems like you even have more then ESPN.

One can only hope Hop-along Burress has made Giants management turd-adverse. If not, they'd best invest in street sweeping crews, because there are PLENTY of errant McDonald's bags drifting around the streets of New York City...

I dont see this move happening for a few reasons.

Giants didn't give up a 1st rounder for Braylon or Anquan , they prob wont give up that and then some for B-Marsh. Also the Giants obviously are short on patience for primadonas. That said, he would definitely help the team initially if he WANTED to play and make the Giants his new home.

I do think what he needs is a fresh start, I just wonder if he shot himself in the foot when that practice was aired all over ESPN !!

    Yo Florio

Read somewhere that the pic might be a fake. Here's a post about it. Maybe you can check it Florio.

"That picture is bogus. That is the Giants Falcon 2000 N429SJ, but thats an old pic, cause it now has a newer paint job. http://www.pbase.com/lexyky/image/79197301
Also, you can't track it on flight tracker. So if he went to NY he probably went on United or one of the other larger carriers.
P.S. The owner is TSTC LLC, Willimington DE "

    Bears....NEED him!

  7. east96st says: September 3, 2009 8:53 AM

If they can get him on a fire sale and he is a one or two year rental while the rookies grow into their role, might not be a bad idea. If Denver is asking full value, pass him by.

  8. WWNYGD says: September 3, 2009 8:55 AM

I do not care if he is a Turd. We need him. The Giants sucked when the lost Plax last season. The current crop of receivers are pretenders. Isn't anyone else watching these damn preseason games?

I do not care if he is an asshole. I care that he makes us better. GO GET HIM G-MEN!

Remember, Strahan was a douche also before the super bowl run. Not too many people say that now.

The Giants actually make more sense than the Jets. If they are going to trade Brandon Marshall, don't the Broncos need a WR in return. I think a guy like Mario Manningham would be a better option than anyone the Jets could throw back.

But it ain't going to happen so I guess I'll have to accept the fact that I just threw away two minutes of my life posting this.

    Child please!

  12. miles says: September 3, 2009 9:01 AM

If the NYG were in town they'd fly into Centennial airport which is 2 mins from Bronco HQ at Dove Valley, not Jeffco Airport which is about 40 minutes and on the exact opposite side of town. Enough said.

    eatKrow,
No, BM's not a NYG's kinda playa. He's never been known to go into a nightclub "packin" , nor has he been known to be repeatedly late for team meetings.

Or stranger-than-Playmakers, but you know, one of us went to law school.

That can't be the NY Giants plane, it's grounded. I heard it had a gun in the luggage bay, which dropped out and shot a hole in the landing gear.

  18. CsanBoySmith says: September 3, 2009 9:32 AM

I just got back from my honey moon. Last Monday, the A320 US Airways flight that took us from Charlotte to Montego Bay had a large Steelers logo on the tail. According to this way of thinking what was Mike Tomlin, Ben Rothelisberger, or one of the Rooney's doing in Charlotte at 9:30 am on a Monday?

  19. east96st says: September 3, 2009 9:53 AM

VoxVeritas says: "Giants not turdish enough for Mara after the departure of Plastico?"

So says the fan of the owner that tripped over himself to sign Pacman and Tank.

And the Philadelphia plane always crashes to the ground in the playoffs. On the upside, I heard it's been fitted with a rape stand, a generator so they can electrocute any dog that isn't winning, a cargo bay for pot shipments, and a month's supply of herpes medication for your new "star". He'll feel right at home. Just have to keep Andy's kids out of the cargo hold. They would go through it before it the plane has a chance to take off.

Picture is too fuzzy to photoshop like that. Normally, I would say yes, but clearly looks like a bad camera phone photo. God knows I take enough blurry ones like that myself.

Good comeback 96, except your plane went down first last year, didn't it?

  26. Bigbluefan says: September 3, 2009 11:19 AM

As I am part owner of the new home of the Giants I do not want marshall or any other thugs playing there bad enough we have to let the egurls and cowpukes in once a year we just got rid of the last ahole

    --------------

In fact, it seems that every time the Giants and Eagles planes are in the air at the same time (playoff time), the Giants plane seems to go down first.

I guess you're only as good as the teams you beat, though, and if the Eagles aren't that good according to east96st, the Giants are worse.

Kevin from Philly says: "Good comeback 96, except your plane went down first last year, didn't it?"

Yeah, but our plane has made it all the way three times, as recently as a year and half ago. Let us know when your plane makes it even once.

Well, seeing how NY beat Arizona at home, the latest team the Eagles flopped in the playoffs to, I guess it's a wash for this past season. Still, over all, three Lombardi trophies vs. zero, means the scale is tipped heavily in NY 's favor. Keep trying Jackal - it's soooo easy when you assclowns haven't won a thing. Say, when's the big parade for Philly's third place finish this year? Maybe I'll come down, grab a cheesesteak and enjoy some laughs.

I think I'd rather have lost in the first round, than to be responsible for letting the super lowly Cardinals (9-7 team) into the Super Bowl!

  31. Tunesmith says: September 3, 2009 2:28 PM

I said a couple of months ago that the Broncos might be smart and try to get David Carr from the Giants. Might be a good trade for Marshall. Be the smartest move that coach McDumb*** could make to replace our franchise QB Cutler. Carr would be better then what they have in camp now.

  32. Los Gigantes says: September 3, 2009 2:46 PM

Why am I reading that the Giants team plane is in Denver and that they are flying players by helicopter 5 at a time to Foxboro for the preseason game?

If it's a real picture why would anyone related to the Giants be there for any other reason than Brandon Marshall??

Maybe they lent the plane to the E-Girls who flew McPuke close to the only thing that can hold all his tears... The Grand Canyon...

(I know that it's located in Arizona)

  33. Tunesmith says: September 3, 2009 2:52 PM

I have been a Bronco fan my whole life and that hasn't changed. But I am afraid that I am going to see something that I thought I would never see fron the Denver Broncos. 0-16!!!!! I am a Colorado State Grad and I saw David Carr play against CSU in a bowl Game. He was awsome. I know he wasn't great when he played for the Texans, but he was thrown into a situation that no rookie QB would have been successful. I doubt the Giants will trade Carr for Marshall, but I can wish.
