Colts activate Vinatieri from PUP

The Indianapolis Colts have announced that kicker Adam Vinatieri has been activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Vinatieri has not yet practiced this year, due to offseason hip and knee procedures.

He’s entering his 14th year in the NFL, and he has won four Super Bowl rings this decade.

Meanwhile, teammate Bob Sanders is expected to remain on PUP, which will knock him out for at least the first six weeks of the regular season.

  1. This year will be the year that Peyton Manning needs to step up and lead the Colts on his shoulders. He has proven in the past that he cannot do this (see his playoff record). The one year the Colts went all the way, the Colts rode the Defense to the SB.

  2. AV, congrats on the 3 SB’s you single-handedly won for the Patsies, and the one you won after they cut you.
[/ the fact they haven’t won squat since is irrelevant to this post, ..maybe ]

  3. Vinatieri=over the hill
I wouldn’t be surprised if Polian drafts a kicker next year, GM’s HATE using two roster spots for someone who is barely ever on the field.

They didn’t cut him. They offered him a contract but he took more $$ from Indy. I love AV, but I didn’t see him attempt a single pass, make a tackle, or play a snap with a broken arm only to play one more snap further making the break worse. But he is Automatic Adam. Best clutch kicker I ever saw.
