Giants-Patriots one-liners

Giants WR Sinorice Moss did his best to get off the roster bubble by catching two passes for touchdowns on Thursday night.

Giants QB Andre Woodson didn’t do much to help himself by going 6 for 19 with an interception.

The play of their backup defensive backs might have the Giants on the lookout for help with secondary depth.

Said Patriots coach Bill Belichick of his decision to leave QB Andrew Walter on the bench, “We played [Brian] Hoyer. You know, we had him in there. The way the
game went, we were coming back [and] we felt like he deserved a chance
to keep playing and see what he could do with the outcome of the game.”

Patriots TE Benjamin Watson worked behind TE Alex Smith on Thursday night and may not have a place on the team’s final roster.

RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis ran for 125 yards and three touchdowns, which still might not be enough for him to remain with the Patriots.

Man, I hope they don’t let Green-Ellis go. I love the way he’s looking this year, compared to last.

Giants first team did look great. But that was against Patriots second team players. You can’t take too much out of it. Same goes for Hoyer. He looked great against Giants second teamers who put very limited rush on him. It’s tough to really tell too much from the game.
I agree on BJGE. He played well last year and it’s hard to make an argument that Maroney is much better or that Morris will someohow be available enough this season to justify carrying him on the roster.

The Law Firm isn’t going anywhere and will the fifth RB behind Maroney, Faulk, Morris, and Taylor. Morris may even end up on the PUP as he just shed the red non contact jersey this week.
It’s Maroney’s last shot in NE, but these will more than likely be the five RBs in NE.
I just can’t see them letting BenJarvis go to waivers as he is a strong nosed runner.

Man, Ben Watson on the bubble… He was a 1st round pick in 2004, if I’m correct. That image of his 120 yard scamper to prevent an INT TD against Broncos… What a hustle.

Hoyer showed a ton of guts out there.
Say hello to the second string position
Here is your clipboard. Hopefully you get to play in week 17 when the Pats are 13-2 and resting for the playoff run.

They are not releasing BJGE. If they go with four backs, Sammy Morris is looking like a more likely cut.
