Jags get more creative in effort to sell seats

The Jacksonville Jaguars, facing a full slate of games that won’t be televised locally due to a lack of interest in game tickets, are at least trying to move the merchandise.

The team has introduced a “Flex Pack,” which allows fans to buy tickets for any three 2009 games for prices as low as $40 per ticket.

NFL teams usually limit sales options to full-season tickets or single-game seats. So we give the Jaguars credit for trying to address the thorny problem of excess inventory, and we wish them the best in their effort to do that which might be impossible -- sell the place out once this year.
