Cornerback Corey Ivy will be among the players released by the Browns today as Cleveland cuts down to 53 according to PFT strongman, Mike Florio.
Signed in March after spending three seasons in the AFC North with the Bengals Ravens, the 32-year-old Ivy couldn’t beat out the competition for the nickel corner spot. Ivy’s release means that rookie Coye Francies and veteran Hank Poteat will likely make the cut.
Given he played 16 games for the Ravens last season and still has some tread left on his tires, Ivy will likely be a guy that will latch on somewhere.

Ivy has never played for the Bengals.
Ralph Brown lite!
Seems like the Bengals may have had Ivy for a short period of time, but maybe I’m thinking of someone else, it’s not listed on Wiki. He did play the last 3 seasons for the Ravens.
Maybe that’s a Freudian slip, because he would be a good fit at nickle corner for the Bengals, with David Jones hurt, they really don’t have a 3rd CB to give any depth behind Joseph and Hall.
Ivy is better than Frank Walker.
Bring him back.
He blows on deep routes but at least every D Coord in the league won’t pick on him like they do Frank Walker.
I hate Frank Walker.
