Dolphins cut six more players

The Dolphins surprised the NFL with an 11-5 record last year, but their front office knew that the roster needed significant upgrading to take them where they want to go.

A sign that the team is improving: The latest six men released by the Dolphins Saturday in an effort to get down to the 53-man roster limit all finished 2008 on the squad.

The list of those cut: receiver Brandon London, tackle Brandon Frye, linebacker Kershaw, cornerback Joey Thomas, safety Courtney Bryan, and defensive end Rod Wright. There weren’t any huge surprises in that group.

Running back Lex Hilliard made the team despite a deep group of running backs because of his excellent preseason.
