Holliday time in Denver?

Former Dolphins free agent Vonnie Holliday, who’s already had his tires kicked once by the Denver Broncos, is in Denver today for another look, according to Almando Salguero of The Miami Herald.

Holliday, released in a move that saved Miami $5.3 million back in March, would be quickly added to the Broncos rotation at defensive end in their 3-4 defense if he signs.

A possible lateral meniscus injury to recently acquired LeKevin Smith is what likely made the Broncos get busy with Vonnie.

Though he’s 33, Holliday – a well-respected locker room guy in Miami – has played 16 games in each of the past four seasons.

Holliday also had New England sniffing around him last month but the Patriots moved on.
