The Baltimore Ravens have whittled their roster down to 53 players. Here are the moves the 2008 AFC runners-up have made.
Gone are receiver Yamon Figurs (a third-round pick in 2007), receiver Jayson Foster, receiver Justin Harper, guard Bryan Mattison (the son of defensive coordinator Greg Mattison), cornerback Evan Oglesby, tackle Joe Reitz, tacke Stefan Rodgers, tight end Isaac Smolko, guard Tre Stallings, receiver Ernie Wheelwright, defensive tackle Naber Abdallah, fullback Jason Cook, tight end Davon Drew, linebacker Tony Fein, center Robby Felix, kicker Graham Gano, safety K.J. Gerard, running back Cedric Peerman, receiver Eron Riley, and linebacker William VanDeSteeg.
Drew was a fifth-round pick in the 2009 draft, and Peerman arrived via round six.
Fein is a 27-year-old rookie who served in the Iraq War. He was arrested last month at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.
Also, the Ravens have waived defensive tackle Will Johnson with an injury settlement, and they have placed linebacker Jason Phillips, a fifth-round pick in 2009, on injured reserve, due to a knee injury.
Finally, the Ravens have confirmed that they have traded defensive back Derrick Martin to the Packers for offensive lineman Tony Moll.
