Solid Woodhead makes it with Jets

Danny Woodhead, who set a Jets preseason record Thursday night with 158 rushing yards, has made the club according to Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star Ledger.

The waterbugging, 5-9, 195-pounder was a serious longshot to make the Jets as an undrafted rookie out of Division 2 Chadron State. But the two-time player of the year at that level stole the show against Philadelphia.

The Jets, Hutchinson points out, are going with four running backs and just one fullback, Tony Richardson, as they cut second-year man Jehuu Caulrick from that spot.

The Eagles 2nd team defense made Woodhead look like Herschel Walker out there.
Its a good story, but I wont be surprised if he’s cut tomorrow when the Jets pick up a few other cut players.

Fun to watch him run. Looks like a bobble head doll.

Rex Ryan is one smart dude.
