Several days ago, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that linebacker Zach Thomas would be retiring. Agent Drew Rosenhaus quickly disputed the report.
For now, the point goes to Rosenhaus.
Thomas hasn’t retired from the Chiefs, because the Chiefs have cut him.
The long-time veteran started 14 games in 2008 for the Cowboys, after spending a dozen years with the Dolphins.
It remains to be seen whether Thomas will continue his career elsewhere, and whether he pursues an injury grievance against the Chiefs for letting him go while he was recovering from an injury suffered while practicing with Kansas City.
But he clearly wants to still attempt to play. Reached for comment as to whether Thomas intends to pack it in after being released by the Chiefs, Rosenhaus provided a one-word answer: “Absolutely!”

Is it just me, or does “Pack it in” mean that you’re giving up and going to quit. Call it a night?

That makes no sense. Rosenhaus say’s he is going to pack it in?
Florio…you should “Pack it in!”
Zach Thomas if you read these, I have been a huge fan since 1997. Please don’t retire, go back to your home where you belong (Miami). Taylor needs you back as well.
Miami Dolphins still needs a great man. Put the uniform back on Zach. I miss looking for you on the field. I finally got Taylor back. I’m one of your biggest fans, don’t let me down again.
