Chiefs nab O’Callaghan off waivers

Patriots tackle Ryan O’ Callaghan was one of the team’s more surprising cuts.

That he ended up getting claimed off waivers by the Chiefs isn’t surprising at all. And we bet you could even guess the other team that put in a waiver claim on O’Callaghan: the Cleveland Browns.

O’Callaghan spent three seasons with the Patriots after getting drafted in the fifth-round of the 2006 draft, making seven starts. He missed all of 2008 with a shoulder injury, but could have a significant role on a thin Kansas City offensive line.
