Buried at the bottom of the press release in which the Texans identify the assorted slapola who have agreed to participate in the team’s practice squad is a far more noteworthy disclosure.
As expected, cornerback Dunta Robinson has, as expected, signed his one-year franchise tender.
This places Robinson under contract, and guarantees that he’ll receive a base salary of $9.957 million this year.
For each regular-season game he had missed, Robinson would have given up more than $585,000 in salary.
He signs the tender with no promise that the team won’t use it on him again next year, when the guaranteed amount of the one-year contract would be more than $11.9 million.

So how much would it cost someone like him to take out a $15 million dollar insurance policy against a severe injury?
Just wondering….
Wow, it’s a Texans article! Who would have thought?
