With Feeley gone, Vick stays on the exempt list

When word broke that the Eagles would be cutting quarterback A.K. Feeley we assumed (ass-you-me) that this meant Mike Vick would head to the active roster, where he would have been permitted to practice for the duration of the two weeks of his suspension.

As it turns out, the Eagles have instead claimed defensive tackle Antonio Dixon off waivers from the Redskins.

Maybe they’ll spend a day or two de-briefing the Redskins about their offense and defense for 2009, cutting him so that Vick can then practice.

Until then, Vick will be on the exempt list.  He can attend meetings, but he can’t practice.

Shame about A.K. Feeley! Is his brother A.J. still on the team?

Doubtful, they only had three DTs on their roster before this pickup.
