He was cut by the Chargers last month.
The Texans claimed him on waivers.
Within days, the Texans cut him, too.
He was claimed by the Lions.
Now, the Lions have cut cornerback Cletis Gordon, who has completed the cut-down trifecta.
He’ll pass through waivers again. If/when he clears, he’ll be an unrestricted free agent.
The Lions also cut receiver Adam Jennings and defensive end Ikaika Alama-Francis, a second-round pick in 2007, whose contract is partially guaranteed for 2009.

I feel sorry for the guy. It must really suck getting cut team after team.
It would suck but at same time getting chance of following his dream
just may not be good enough like most of us… but atleast he can say he tryed.
Most folk’ll never lose a toe, but then again some folk’ll, like Cletis the slack jawed yokel
He just needs to work on not sucking.
Once you’re cut from the Lions that’s kinda the end of the road…
“Cletis.., don’t make me come over there. I’m gonna stick this knife in the crack O your ass”!

nothing like getting older “overnight” right florio?? yesterday, you said that Ikaika Alama-Francis was a second round pick in the 208 draft, hmmm.
If he has gotten picked up after the previous two cuts, someone will get him after some injuries during the season. Don’t feel too bad for the guy, he’ll make more money sitting the bench half the year than most people make in 10 years combined.
Would that be considered a Triple Lindy?
