Oakland coach Tom Cable says that Richard Seymour wants to be a member of the Raiders, but there are “some issues still between him and the Patriots that are being worked out.”
Patriots spokesman Stacey James, however, said he was unaware of any difficulties surrounding the deal.

The NFL transaction wire listed the Seymour deal on Sunday, although the trade wouldn’t be finalized until Seymour passes a physical in Oakland. Seymour remains in the Boston area, and the Raiders don’t know when that physical will take place.
