For the Raiders, the best news about the pending Richard Seymour trade is that no one has been talking much about the ongoing investigation into the question of whether coach Tom Cable broke the face of defensive assistant Randy Hanson last month.
According to Tom Curran of NBC/PFT, the situation has not yet gone away.
Commander Andy Lewis of the Napa Police Department tells Curran that the matter “is still an open investigation.”
Though we continue to hear that reports of punches and threats of murder are inaccurate, the fact remains that Hanson emerged from the interaction with a broken jaw. And that fact alone is likely keeping this thing alive.
