Cook out for Titans, Timmons out for Steelers

The season has truly arrived when we have our first pregame inactives of the season.

There were no major surprises on either list Thursday night.  The Titans will be without promising rookie tight end Jared Cook (ankle) and cornerback Ryan Mouton (ankle).

Other missing Titans: running back Chris Henry, offensive lineman Troy Kropog, receiver Lavelle Hawkins, defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks and defensive end Dave Ball.

It's a little disappointing for Tennessee that Marks, their second round pick, is a healthy scratch.

The Steelers will be without starting inside linebacker Lawrence Timmons, as expected.  Keyaron Fox will start in his place.

Also out: quarterback Dennis Dixon, cornerback Joe Burnett, cornerback Keiwan Ratliff, guard Kraig Urbik, tackle Tony Hill, defensive end Nick Eason, and wide receiver Shaun McDonald.

And remember, Florio starts your Live chat fun around 8:00 PM.  I'll be manning the keyboard in the rumor mill during the game with Tom Curran on the way soon.

LenDale White read this headline and showed up an hour early with an apron and a bottle of BBQ sauce.

Way too close to game time for the Titans to be holding a cookout.
