Actually as evidenced by the sellouts for the season, The Cotton Bowl, The Texas OU game, the OU/BYU game, 2011 Super Bowl, Sold out concerts and high school football games. And WHAT controversy?!?!?!? The screen stays where it is for the year!!! Quit hating the fact that the Boys have the Best Stadium in the league and try to enjoy it!!!

Jerry may not be much of a general manager but the man knows his “bidness”!! He’s tired of supporting teams like the Vikings and the Jags who can’t seem to get enough support from their own fans to keep them afloat!! Small markets can work and work well even in bad economies. Just ask the Packer and Steeler fans!! While its sad, it is time to get rid of the “Old Teams” like the lions, Vikes, and others who are dragging the rest of the league down.

i bet the league doesn’t do anything to Jerry. They’ll “say” they will do something, but they won’t. They’re too busy bowing down to him and letting him alter the rules of the game of football to accomodate himself. :rolleyes:
Dallas is up there with Pittsburgh – in the eyes of the NFL, they are infallible and get preferential treatment.

Regardless of the reasons, Jerry is correct in stating that vikings are not bringing in their share of the revenue. They suck at generating revenue and are a drag on the whole league.
His other point that small market teams should not have to give away hard earned money from their fans to the lousy unsupportive people in Minnesota who don’t generate revenue.
It is obvious that the other owners agree with the facts Mr. Jones presented. There will be no action against him for what needed to be said.
The vikings really struggle in attendance and most of last year did not have even 63,000 in the stands.
The reason the vikings do not want a new stadium is that they could not fill it and would face blackouts all season. Taxpayers do not want to pay for a smaller or same sized stadium.
The league owners should consider contracting the league.
Buy back the Jacksonville and Minnesota franchises and the other owners would have a larger portion of the pie. It would rid the league of 118 players so the quality of play would increase and weaken the union.
The league would be better off.
