Titans wide receiver Nate Washington will get to face his former team after all. He may even get to start the game.
ESPN’s Bob Holzman reports that Washington will start against the Steelers Thursday night, although Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean writes that rookie Kenny Britt will start, with Washington presumably in the role of third receiver.
Washington’s presence is a surprise considering that he was originally expected to miss a few weeks of the regular season.
Jim Wyatt reports that Washington looked good in pre-game warmups and pumped his fist after running routes and catching passes. He’s used to catching passes in Heinz Field; now he just has to show he can catch them from Kerry Collins rather than Ben Roethlisberger.
