Troy Polamalu has had about as eventful a first half of play in the 2009 season opener as imaginable.
He made the most incredible one-handed interception you can imagine, drew three penalities, and recorded six tackles, including one that stopped a drive with a great tackle of Chris Johnson.
The half ended on a down note, as Polamalu went to the locker room early with a knee injury. His return is questionable, according to NBC's Andrea Kremer.
Kremer also says linebacker Lamarr Woodley is probable to return after leaving with cramps late in the second quarter.

Bummer.....LOLO
Two of those penalties were entirely bogus. It's good to see the the officials still are terrible at doing their job.

Madden Curse strikes already?
Long live the Madden Curse!!! Fitzgerald, your turn.
"He made the most incredible one-handed interception you can imagine"
Antonio Cromartie disagrees with you
No mention of all the penalties he accumulated?
Madden curse strikes less than 30 minutes into the season.
Be very afraid!
2 personal foul penalties.
But yeah no cheap shots by Shittsburgh.
This is a shame. Great player. Unlike some fans (Bernard Pollard for Prez?) I like to see the BEST play the game regaurdless of the team.
Madden
Curse
.
If it's an ACL, no one can ever doubt the curse again.
that was agonizing to watch, thats definitely ligament tear/strain, which is too bad for the pittsburg defense because hes about half the talent on that team
and i can imagine a MUCH more impressive one handed interception, i think he made it last year...you probably saw it
MADDEN CURSE!!!
Whaddya think Pittsburgh?
Karma?
That pass interference call was horrible.
The madden curse lives on....
Remember when steeler fans made tose bernard pollard fan club shirts. Just saying. Its not karma or anything
BUMMER!

What happened to just shuxion?
You left out his cheap shots...great player yes, but could have really hurt his team with the stupid personal-fouls.

Of course it was.
We won.
Two of the penalties were bogus. The PI call was the worst call of the night, and the first personal foul for the late hit out of bounds was a bit touchy. He was already committed to the hit just before Brown was out.
The face mask was a legit call however.
See some of us Pats fans can be objectional here Steeler fans. Could also be I love Polumalu's game even though he plays for Pittsburgh.
As much as it will hurt the Steelers to be without Troy, I still love to watch this guy play.
