Bills receiver Terrell Owens owns a key to the city. But they won’t be stitching a special patch to his jersey.
The Bills have announced their team captains for the 2009 season, and T.O. isn’t one of them.
Instead, the offensive captains are quarterback Trent Edwards and receiver Lee Evans.
The defensive captains are linebackers Kawika Mitchell and Paul Posluszny, and the special-teams captains are punter Brian Moorman and safety George Wilson.
The honor is determined by a vote of teammates. Owens probably believes that the election was misleading because only the votes players with a “special box” on their helmets were counted.

Team veterans become the captains and not a free agent who has been with the team for 6 months.
This is the type of media spin that is not appreciated.
That attempt to connect TOs reality show ratings with his lack of being voted a team captain was just painful to read. It didn’t make sense gramatically, or generally. I feel kinda bad for you.

Cheap shot. There’s no way TO would expect to be named captain. I’m neutral here, but this is a little below the belt.
