Check out Curran's Quick Slants

Our friends at NBC just gave us a nice pop, narrated by Bob Costas, during Football Night in America.

So we’ll return the favor.

Our part-time PFT colleague Tom Curran has penned (or, more accurately, pounded) a piece called Quick Slants, which whips around the first Sunday of action in the NFL.

You can read it right here.

And you can check out our live chat on Sunday Night Football Extra, starting at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Since you’re doing every chat on NBC.com live stream, people from Canada can’t access the stream and the live chat.
Is it possible to do anything to give us access to the live chat without the live stream?
    Thank you,
    Dom

“Before anyone gets hyped over Romo, though, remember that A) this is a rebuilding Bucs team the Cowboys allowed to hang around”
“Slant” is right. Funny how he still talks crap about a team that just won a road game 34-21. Sure, the Bucs hung around right until around a minute and a half left in the game when they were able to pull within two TD’s. On the other hand, Michael Vick is a completely different person because he wore a suit today while his overrated ass was suspended and watching. Would it be too much to ask for a little less “slant”?

Mike, this “Sunday Night Football Extra” might work a little better IF THEY DON’T CUT TO A COMMERCIAL JUST AS THE PACKERS ARE LINING UP TO ATTEMPT A FIELD GOAL. Know what I mean?

Yeah, the Extra video is running almost a full minute behind the action on the field. Not much good, unless you want it for replays.

good read, but i have to object to the notion that favre hasnt EVER had better weapons than siney rice, berrian, and harvin. i mean come on, how about rison, freeman, and howard, or robert brooks, or sterling sharpe. hell even with the young guys he had in green bay in 2007.

Just logging in to the “NBC” chat, and the latest updated is 7:15 pm. 3 hours behind real time. Is NBC using the old PFT hamsters to run the chat?
    Please fix.
    Going back to internet porn.

I do believe Favre said at the time that last year’s Jets team was the most talented he’d ever been around.
Maybe he was just saying that.
