pennington wasn’t the problem, it was the o-line. the o-line wasn’t “jelling” at all, and the QB’s were running around for their lives yesterday. The Miami Defense was pretty solid, but it’s hard to make up for 4 turnovers.
Fasano should be benched for the next game (at the very least) as punishment.

As a Dolphin fan I found our Defense to have played well, but when your team turns the ball over 4 times, you are sure to lose.
The question I have is this, “Is the Falcon D THAT good, our our offense THAT bad?”
I’m thinking a little bit of both. Abraham is a beast and the LBs especially Peterson played really well.
I guess with no threat of the deep ball, it is easier for the Defense to hunker down a bit and play the underneath stuff.
Btw, wtf has happened to Jason Elam? Once considered one of the best kickers in the league to missing 2 FGs and and XP.
My hats off to the Falcons. They played a good game.
The most encouraging thing to take away from that game as a Dolfan was their run D and Philip Merling’s play. He played like a man possessed.

The Dolphins looked like $h!t. There’s just no other way to say it. Pennington looked like a high school QB, and the defense couldn’t cover the pass worth anything.

So Florio, your a injury reporter or do you watch the games? Any body can watch the red zone! If your gonna get on the heavy traffic web zone know your stuff. The Falcon’s dominated the game and clearly out played the Dolphins. Other than that, I sure your on top of stuff. The game wasn’t close and if you watched you would know. Red Zone Shark!!!!

I’m a Dolphins fan and kudos to the Falcons. That defense was really (no pun intended) flying around the place. The funny thing was the guy that looked the youngest was one of the oldest on the Falcons D. Good luck to the Falcons and their fans!
too bad the whistle had blown on the Camarillo catch. Oh and also those four turnovers too

The Miami Dolphins came to the Dome today with their 3-4
Michael Turner had trouble finding daylight, no open door
Matt Ryan had a decent day throwing, completed 60%
Spread the ball around nicely, to 6 receivers he went
But he faced some pressure, landed twice on his back
For the 2 Jasons, Ferguson & Taylor, each had a sack
Pat White the Wildcat QB played several snaps, a deck of cards
But overthrew an open receiver by many yards
I believe it was Davone Bess who got past 2 Falcons that play
That surely made all the Dolphins & fans neither happy nor gay
Kicker Jason Elam missed 2 field goals & an extra point
Made me so lizzed off I nearly dropped my joint
The Falcons defense allowed some 3rd down conversions
But overall were skilled & educated, a hospital of surgeons
The Falcons D-line kept under 100 R. Williams & R. Brown
Not too much rushing of the ball, up or down
John Abraham & Kroy Biermann are sackmasters, rent or lease
As they both got Chad Pennington for 2 sacks apiece
This bodes well for next week with Carolina at the Dome
As the Falcons will put the pressure on Jake Delhomme
The mystical crystal ball sees Atlanta playing vicious & mean
With a final score of Atlanta 27, Carolina 17!

Hey don’t be so hard on Turner. Bush ran 7 times for 14 yards today (2.0 / attempt) with a long of 10. Meaning his 6 other carries netted 4 yards (.67 / attempt). Turner was a burner compared to that.

The Falcons missed two field goals and an extra point. I think the Dolphins were only in the red zone twice the entire game. It was not close at all.

game wasn’t close!! Falcon’s should have scored 27 pts or more. Miami better improve on offense or its a long year. Fal’s played a decent defense day and below avg offense day. Dolphins never in the game.

I’m a Dolphins fan. I watched the game. It was in no way closer than the score indicated.
Jake Long looked like a drugged racehorse and Matt Ryan flat out missed a number of open receivers. Jason Elam also put on a shanking clinic.
It was not a close game.

I wonder how much—if at all—Hill & the 49′s performance today will factor into that decision.
If Crabtrees’ as good as he and his agent have been yelling (cough unlikely cough), i think he’d want to at least be on a team that can make him look good.
With an eye towards financial security/trade value—re: Moss on the Raiders -> Moss on the Patriots.
