Gonzalez gone for 2-6 weeks

It looked like a potential season-ender when it happened.  Instead, Colts receiver Anthony Gonzalez could be out as little as two and as many as six weeks, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com.

That's a preliminary diagnosis, and it suggests to us an MCL sprain in the range of Grade II.

More testing will be conducted on Monday.

Meanwhile, Marvin Harrison is available.

The Colts face the Dolphins next week.

Since he's gonna be out, and Pierre Garcon/Austin Collie can't be a #2 WR, we should pick up Marvin, no matter what....He won't hurt us since he cant do any worse then Garcon and clearly knows the offense.....Paging Marvin!!

I wonder if the colts believe that Garcon and Collie can pick up the slack?

I watched the Colts game today along with all the games on the ticket. Last night I watched this program on the NFL network called "greatest 4th quarters" Falcons against Dolphins in 1995. Marino came from behind to beat the Jeff George Falcons. This years Peyton Manning's Colts reminded me of those Dolphins. Marino had one all pro reciever Irvin Fryer, not elite had a talented passing O-line, horrible at run blocking, decent TE slash RB Keith Byars, after that though the talent just dropped off to below mediocre, Fossilized Gary Clark, possesion receiver McDuffie, and a shlew of average running backs, and horrible defense. Manning has now become this eras Dan Marino, I know he's won a Super Bowl but his offense reminded me of the 95 Dolphins team I saw, no running game, receivers can't get open or they drop the ball, they are not on the same level as Manning. Folks, this Colts team has mediocre talent at BEST after Manning and Wayne, on the offensive side of the ball, Clark is shell of his former self and is no longer considered great in my opinion, alligator arms. Be grateful they get in the playoffs this year, this team can't survive without any injuries because their OVERRATED GM has made horrible moves in the draft thus the quality of substitutions on this team makes the lions practice squad look like Super Bowl champions.

Why in the hell would they call Marvin Harrison and why would you want him? 32 teams passed on this guy for a workout, hell even Armani Toomer was on a roster at one point. I understand Colts fans love their beloved players but when the Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders, pass on you, your done in this league.

Gonzalez's injury report is phony....He will be out longer then 7 weeks, no one falls down like that on their own comes back, and they say its a sprain, bullcrap, he tore an MCL, ACL he's done. The Colts are already trying to hide the injury status again. Time to make a trade Polian, give next years number 1 pick to the Broncos,Cardinals and get Marshall, or Boldin, he's your only hope to wash away your busted picks the last 4 years, after this year your on your way out anyway if you don't, do it now and save your legacy, if the gamble pays off your the greatest again. Gonzalez, Addai, Ugoh, are FLAT OUT BUSTS, ,many people raised questions that these guys weren't even first round material. If Anthony is a third reciever at this pro level, hopefully he can bounce back at full strength.

If I were Manning I would restructure my contract and get real talent on offense, dude you got all the money in the world, but usually their is 3 people sometimes 4 on offense these days playing on the same level and as I see it, Reggie Wayne comes close, after that HUGE drop off in talent. People can say Dallas Clark, but he's lost a step clearly and has alligator arms he can still play, but he's not on that level anymore.

Jay16, do u have anything else to say? Good lord. Do u have a beef with Marv or something, don't take it out on Gonzo. Tony is a bust, but come on are you Jags fans and can't take a L?

Garcon and Collie will fill in just fine, becuase our GM makes good decesions, if he didnt have any trust we would have taken Hakeem or Kenny.

The Colts are screwed without this guy. They needed him to be a major part of their offense since Marvin "HandGun" Harrison is now history.

I think the Colts will need to step up and make a trade unless they have a stealth secret weapon receiver hiding somewhere in their roster I don't know about.

If they could swing a deal for Boldin then that would be the solution. He's a great player. Question is: Is he even available???

    Brandon Marshall is very talented....but he's an ULTRA-TURD. I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole.

They may make a trade for a receiver of lesser stature as well and not have to pay a Kings ransom. It'll be interesting to see what they do.

Cards need Boldin this season. Marvin Harrison should take any offer they send him and re-join the Colts.

I'm sorry for the ranting above. I'm really passionate about this game. Not a Jags fan at all, I did love Del Rio when he played for the Vikings however a great linebacker in his day.

With the Colts its like this.....They have mucho talent at quarterback and it just seems they are wasting it. Its just my opinion but it does seem as if not having enough cap room is crippling this team, its a shame too. Building through the draft seems to helped them in the past, but lately the Colts have been picking busts and I'm being polite. Addai would have been a nice pick in the second round, Gonzalez too, Ugoh as well, but they chose to pick them in the first round passing on players who have been productive on other teams. First round running backs in their 3rd year should get you around 100 yards a game with the leagues greatest quarterback, first round recievers should be getting around 80 catches in todays game, and first round tackles shouldn't get beat out by tackles in the 6th round.
