the vikings will get better with each game and each practice, especially farve getting in sinc with the offense. This team will dominate this year! There are to many great offensive weapons and also a great defense for me not to say this.

Slow start but over all that team looks very impressive. They have the ability to bust long explosive gains out of ultra conservative play calls which is pretty scary for other teams. And their D was stout.
Special teams stunk on that Cribs return but overall I’d say the Vikes specials outplayed the Browns actually. Coverage was great on every other kick and the Vikings averaged high return values on punts and kicks.
This defense is great as well. Garbage TD late and a punt return TD and that silly onside kick leading to a field goal but otherwise the D gave up almost nothing today.

You call people legally retarded, yet your grammar is like it is. Hmm.. Also, we don’t need to “masquerade” as anything. We’re fans. Viking fans are the bandwagoners who disappear midway through the season and can’t sell out playoff games, not us.
That said, congrats to the Vikings on a very strong showing today. It’s always nice when you can set the tone for the season with an early win like that. I only hope we can do the same.

When you have the best running back in the league. . .you know, the guy that’s probably the best player in the league overall. . .and a great defense, you generally don’t need a whole lot else to be “dominate.” Or “dominant,” even.
Adrian Peterson humiliated the entire city of Cleveland today, and prior to Cleveland’s last garbage-time drive, the Vikings destroyed that team in every meaningful way.

After a misguided decision to open the game with an onside kick (fail) and the tossing of a red flag on a play that shouldn’t have been challenged via replay review (second fail), Vikings coach Brad Childress finally has made a decision that saved his team four points.

I’m no Brad Childress apologist, but I have a hard time faulting him too much for starting the game with an onside kick. When you’re facing a team that hasn’t scored an offensive TD in 6 games led by a QB with 3 career starts to his name, and when your defense is the #1 ranked rush defense… I don’t think it’s a terrible idea to try to catch them with their pants down.

Come on, blame head coaches for bad decisions. But a breakdown on special teams is not the head coach’s fault. It was one or more players not doing their job correctly.

So far the Vikings are looking pretty poor.
Favre has no protection to throw the ball what so ever, and the Browns are stopping the run.
Nice special teams too.

On his first challenge for the fumble, the ruling on the field was down by contact. he challenged. Down by contact was overturned for a fumble but with no clear vikings recovery. Why did he lose the timeout when the call on the field was overturned for a fumble?
