Post-Dungy era begins with a small thud

So the Colts are hosting the Jaguars in Week One, and the home team worked the ball down to the fringes of the Jacksonville end zone early in the drive.

And just as it appeared that the Jim Caldwell era in Indy would begin with a 7-0 lead, Manning threw a somewhat ugly ball that was picked off by Jacksonville rookie defensive back Derek Cox.

It’s way too early for anything remotely resembling panic.  But it’s surely not the way the Colts had hoped to christen their first campaign without Tony Dungy.
