Report: McNabb “doubtful” for Week Two

Although Eagles coach Andy Reid publicly hasn’t closed the door on quarterback Donovan McNabb playing next week despite a broken rib, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer cites a team source in reporting that McNabb is “doubtful” for the September 20 game against the Saints.

(We expect a dressing down of the media on Monday, given that Reid doesn’t like it when the folks who pursue information for a living get their information from anyone other than Reid.)

If McNabb can’t play, the Eagles may need to bring back A.J. Feeley, since Mike Vick is suspended through Week Two. On Sunday, DeSean Jackson -- who took a couple of snaps in the Wildcat formation -- was the emergency quarterback.
