It seems a little early to make declarations on Donovan McNabb’s availability for next week’s game between the Eagles and Saints.
That said, well-connected, spud-tossin’, bingo warrior Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com tweets that McNabb is “out” for next week’s game.
Going forward from Week 2, Glazer says it’s “up in air.” Glazer added that right now “they don’t think it’s as bad as originally feared.”
What that means, we’re not sure. Did they fear multiple broken ribs? Torn biceps?
Meanwhile, Eagles coach Andy Reid said after the game, “there’s a chance” McNabb could play against New Orleans. “We’ll see, the game just got over,” said Reid. “We’re taking it day-by-day and see how he does.”
All good baby, all good.
If there’s an AJ Feeley signing tonight, McNabb is out next week. If not? he’s playing through it.
PFT, in fairness, please accuse McNabb of:
dogging it — suffering from swine flu or polio — being a prima donna who wants to skip practice — indecisive, since he can’t decide whether or not he’ll play — being in danger of causing a schism in the locker room
Meh, I strongly doubt McNabb will miss any games.
Curran..Jay Glazer??? Thats like asking bill gates what the spread is for next weeks game. Dont hate because your boy florio picked the skins for the super bowl. Idiots.
Here is the excuse Philly fans can use when they get smoked like a blunt come next week:
“We didnt have McNabb.”
or
“McNabb was playing hurt.”
Either or, its equals 1-1.
McNabb dogging it? He’d be a fool to do that with Michael Vick around.

No, franchise. You have us confused for Giants fans.

No, franchise, you would be mistaking Eagles fans for Giants fans.
Hey Franchise what team do pull for?
With or without McNabb I still like the Eagles chances over the Saints. The Saints have one of the worst defenses in the league. They gave up 27 points to the Lions. The Saints do have a great offense but the defense will cost them big time.
Dan Patrick says the Eagles have not ruled McNabb out for next week.
How much is that rib going to cost the Eagles?

Even if he does play…how effective can he be with broken ribs???
fran: you have a short and selective memory. my memory tells me that of the three times mcnabb has gone down for significant time, twice the backup carried on without interruption to the playoffs and a couple playoff wins. and in the other season the eagles were competitive, with feeley almost beating the pats in new england. so, perhaps you were smoking the blunt when you were typing….
Chiefnofoldem, look at how the Lions scored those 27 points. The defense was fine for the Saints today. Passing def: 16-37, 203 yds, 0td, 3 int. Rushing def. 20 att, 33 yds. 2 tds. The Lions got one TD on a fumble return, and 10 of their other points came on drives that started inside the Saints 15. The other was set up on a Calvin Johnson 64 yd catch against a backup in single coverage when starter Tracy Porter was out for a few plays. Not saying Saints D is the Ravens or Giants, but the 27 pts is misleading. If I were you, Id worry more about 6 td passes to 5 different receivers and 7 receivers with at least 30 yds receiving. Saints O against Eagles D is going to be a hell of a matchup.
no doubt…this will not slow phillys pace….mcnabb has not been ruled out. And if you are, it is bull…atleast this early. Much faith in kolb, the team will rally around him with a pocket full a shells….blood is in the water.
Nothing a little Chunky Campbell’s soup can’t take care of… Get Mama McNabb quick!
Like it matters against the Saints and Chiefs terrible defense.
I thought it would take a little longer for the Eagles’ meltdown to begin. 1-0 hides an awful lot in this case. I can already hear the Saints’ engines revving.
I think the #1 line used by Vick supporters of late is that his presence in Philly would sort of light a fire under McNabb–push him to try that much harder.
Kinda makes you wonder if he’d have run for the end zone quite so hard if he wasn’t feeling the heat of a certain new signing at his heels. Not like he has any extra pressure to prove himself the unquestionable leader of the team, or anything.
So, Eagles fans, how’s this working out for you so far?
Smush Rodrigez says: “No, franchise, you would be mistaking Eagles fans for Giants fans”
That would be impossible. You assclowns think winning a playoff game is THE championship. Giants fans know the difference. We have watched our favorite team WIN in February.

We have watched our favorite team LOSE at home 23-11 to the Eagles in January 2009.
Stick to the facts mam,
The editor.
New Flash
Burger King has started selling the Mc Rib again but only in Phila
And Smush
We have a running game we do not need to expose are QB to that kind of play
Also our QB does not try and pretend he is a runner
McScab doing a bad Vick impression
Two words: Jeff Garcia!
And cue the Vick chants in Philly! I was suprised, I figured McNabb would make it a little longer before his annual injury.

You really think Brees is going to have anywhere near the kind of day he had against one of the worst, if not the worst defense in the league? Granted it will be a little tougher without McNabb, but we still come out on top, easily. They don’t have a run game, especially without Pierre Thomas. You might find yourself saying “But we didn’t have Pierre Thomas.”

Did you Eagles fans enjoy the parade? The way you douchebags carry on about one playoff game, it’s painfully obvious that you feel that’s as close as you’ll ever get to a Super Bowl win. Of course, the very next week, Philly choked to ARIZONA, so if you want to delude yourself that last year was a success, go ahead. All the rest us know that Pittsburgh won the championship which means ALL the other teams came up short. Sad that you guys view one game as the best your team can do. After 43 years of failure, I guess it’s human nature to start to assume your team will never win it all. Of course, in this case, you may very well be right. Donnie got hurt yet again and if you think Vick is an upgrade on McNabb, it’s going to be a very painful season for you to watch. At least, McNabb gives you a chance. Vick will have you at 6-10.
The Eagles need to order some McRib’s.

Hmmm…McRib…
Andy Reid said in his press conference this morning that McNabb’s expected to play against the Saints.
