Thigpen out, Croyle back in

Tyler Thigpen’s time as Kansas City quarterback was limited to only one drive.

Thereafter, he was yanked and replaced by starter Brodie Croyle.

As Gregg Rosenthal points out, Chiefs coach Todd Haley is taking a page from the Ken Whisenhunt approach in Arizona two years ago, when former starter Matt Leinart periodically was pulled for current starter Kurt Warner.

Meanwhile, the score has tightened, thanks to a blocked field goal that the Chiefs returned for a touchdown.
